About

A clearer way into Spanish news.

Spanish News for Learners helps you prepare before reading or watching real Spanish-language reporting. It gives you a useful starting point without replacing the original article or video.

How it works

Each guide introduces the story in English, gives you the background you need, and highlights essential Spanish vocabulary and expressions. You can listen to Spanish pronunciation, compare key ideas in the headline, and, in selected guides, practise with simple flip-card vocabulary review.

When you are ready, the guide links to the publisher’s original Spanish article or video on the source’s own site. We do not reproduce full news reports, and we are not affiliated with the publishers we reference.

Editorial method

Know what was reviewed.

An Article reviewed or Video reviewed label means the linked source was consulted while preparing the guide. A Topic overview uses the publisher’s title and available summary to prepare general language support; its scope is stated near the beginning of the page.

The publisher and original date remain visible on every guide. Educational examples are written for practice and are identified separately from the source’s reporting. The portal links readers back to the original so they can examine the complete reporting, evidence and attribution.
